What's For Lunch?

Well since it is Friday and since I'm sharing my favorite things, let me share some great places for lunch in Enterprise.

1. Mick's is always great. Be prepared to take it with you or wait for a table. This place is small but the flavor is huge. My suggestion is the Special. It doesn't matter what it is. It's good. They are located on Dauphin Street extension kind of behind Food World. By the way, Mick's is only open for lunch Mon. - Fri.

2. Annie's on Main Street is a hit! Great hamburgers! I love the sweet potato fries too. Others tell me that all the food is good. Maybe. But why try anything else when you know you can't go wrong with the hamburger? Too good to miss.

3. If you are Jonesing for BBQ you just can't go wrong with Larry's. They have three flavors of sauce. I like the hot one, it's in the yellow squeeze bottle. Not really hot but has a touch of spice and a little more vinegar.

Be sure to tell me what you think once you've tried them.

  2. Pretty much everything is awesome at Micks and I totally agree about Annies.

I would add Cup Cakes Y'all to this list. Those Key Lime Cupcakes should be patented.

  3. Yesterday I ate lunch at a jewel in Elba, AL. It's located behind the courthouse on the square. It's called "Just Folk Coffee House" and is housed in a renovated movie theatre, complete with wood beams in the ceiling and brick walls. I had a spicy pimento cheese sandwich and potatoe soup. It was delicious. I hear they have open mike night and there was a cute group of ladies there playing bridge. To finish it off I had a cup of locally roasted coffee, the special Pea River Blend, and a pound cake sundae. Wonderful small-town surprise!

  4. I concur with Mick's (the most interesting chicken salad around - curry & honey!), and Annie's (that burger it to die for), but Larry's?? I prefer Big Daddy's if we're eating in Eprise but my fave BBQ in the WG-area is Webb's 231 around Midland City. A-MA-ZING!
